Understand your data and its destination

We examine the data to be migrated, how it is organised and its role in your operations. Whether it comes from databases, exports, CMS content or document collections, this assessment identifies available formats, volumes, relationships and missing information.

We review the target platform at the same time. This establishes what can be transferred directly, what needs adapting and which questions need to be resolved with your teams before migration begins.

We then plan source access, exports, backups, trial runs and the cutover schedule. This includes handling changes made during the migration work and defining rollback arrangements if issues arise during the switch.

Different tools can represent the same information in different ways. We develop the processing needed to convert formats, standardise values, restructure content and rebuild the relationships required by the target platform.

Transformations follow the rules agreed with you. Incomplete or ambiguous data is flagged for review. For website migrations, media, internal links and redirects from old URLs are also addressed.

We prepare import scripts and procedures suited to the systems involved. Trial runs in a test environment allow us to check mappings, identify errors and refine the processing before the final transfer.

The cutover is coordinated with your teams and the other providers involved. Depending on the project, a temporary editing freeze or planned downtime may be necessary. The steps and their impact on the use of your tools are explained in advance.

Validate

Check that the data works in its new context

Checks cover transferred volumes, essential fields, relationships between records and associated files. We also verify how the data behaves in the new platform, including browsing, search, display and access for the relevant user roles.

Validation combines technical checks with business reviews by your teams. Discrepancies are documented and corrected against agreed acceptance criteria. We hand over information about the processing performed and the details needed for ongoing operation.
