The client : Sofrat
An independent engineering consulting firm of human scale, SOFRAT has been specializing since 1982 in the building and construction sectors. Today, it is a recognized player in providing qualified professionals to the oil & gas, energy, construction, and transportation industries.
Its service offering is built on strong technical expertise in engineering, complemented by essential cross-functional skills such as document management and project assistance.
The challenge: modernizing an outdated visual identity and logo
Sofrat’s long-standing visual identity had served the company for many years, but it no longer fully reflected its current positioning or the breadth of its expertise.
The logo, while recognizable, lacked alignment with contemporary visual codes and had limited impact in terms of memorability and adaptability.
The absence of a structured graphic charter made it difficult to ensure consistency across communication materials, both in print and digital. A complete redesign was an opportunity to strengthen brand image and assert Sofrat’s visual personality.
Naes’ solution: a distinctive, modern, and cohesive identity
Naes supported Sofrat through a full redesign of its visual identity, aiming to combine modernity, clarity, and uniqueness.
The logo was reimagined to convey both the solidity and technical expertise of the company, while adding a touch of elegance and dynamism. Its design was conceived for seamless adaptability across all formats, from digital to printed materials.
A comprehensive graphic charter was established, defining clear guidelines for the use of colors, typography, and visual elements, ensuring consistency in all communications.
To enrich the visual universe, Naes created a set of custom pictograms and conducted targeted iconographic research, ensuring that every asset—whether for print or digital—faithfully reflected Sofrat’s DNA and values.
Immediate benefits
- Strengthened visual consistency
- Enhanced brand recognition
- A solid foundation for all future materials (website, internal and external documents)
Follow-up: applying the identity to the website and materials
Following the launch of the new identity, Naes continued to support Sofrat in creating and adapting visuals for a variety of internal and external materials.
This work extended to designing the graphic charter for the new website, ensuring a seamless continuity between the brand’s universe and the online experience.
